IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) and Jozef Catering Services (“Jozef Catering,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This document is intentionally written to be risk-averse and is provided for attorney review and approval prior to publication or enforcement.

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, booking services, signing a proposal or invoice, or engaging with Jozef Catering in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use our website or services.

  1. NATURE OF SERVICES

Jozef Catering Services operates as an off-site catering and personal chef service.

  • We do not operate a restaurant
  • We do not own or control any event venue
  • Services are provided at client-selected locations or third-party venues

Client acknowledges that venue conditions, utilities, equipment, and staff are outside the control of Jozef Catering and may impact service quality and safety.

  1. BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
  • A signed agreement and non-refundable deposit are required to secure an event date
  • Event dates are not guaranteed until payment clears
  • Final balance must be paid by the deadline specified in the invoice or agreement

Failure to remit payment may result in:

  • Immediate cancellation
  • Withholding of services
  • Forfeiture of payments already made
  1. CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES & NO-SHOWS
  • All deposits are non-refundable
  • Guest count reductions do not reduce pricing
  • Menu or service changes are subject to availability and additional fees

Client-initiated cancellations may result in:

  • Partial or full forfeiture of payments based on notice period

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Weather conditions
  • Client or guest dissatisfaction not related to food safety
  • Venue interference
  • Failure of third-party vendors
  1. FOOD ALLERGIES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Client is solely responsible for:

  • Disclosing all food allergies and dietary restrictions in writing prior to the event
  • Ensuring guests understand food-related risks

Jozef Catering:

  • Cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment
  • Assumes no liability for reactions due to undisclosed or last-minute information
  1. FOOD SAFETY & CONSUMPTION
  • Food is prepared in accordance with standard food safety practices
  • Responsibility for food safety transfers to the Client once food is delivered or served

Jozef Catering is not responsible for:

  • Improper storage
  • Reheating
  • Delayed consumption
  • Food consumed beyond recommended timeframes
  1. ALCOHOL & CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES

Unless explicitly agreed in writing:

  • Jozef Catering does not provide alcohol
  • Client assumes full responsibility for alcohol service

Jozef Catering is not liable for:

  • Intoxicated guests
  • Underage consumption
  • Alcohol-related injuries or damages
  • Guest behavior or legal violations
  1. VENUE, PROPERTY & THIRD-PARTY VENDORS

Jozef Catering is not responsible for:

  • Venue conditions or safety
  • Power, water, gas, or utility failures
  • Venue staff actions
  • Third-party vendors (planners, rentals, DJs, etc.)

Client assumes responsibility for:

  • Damage caused by guests
  • Venue-related claims
  1. FORCE MAJEURE

Jozef Catering shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God
  • Weather events
  • Fire
  • Government orders
  • Labor shortages
  • Utility or equipment failures
  • Vendor non-performance
  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by California law:

  • Total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for services
  • No liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  1. INDEMNIFICATION

Client agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jozef Catering, its owners, contractors, and affiliates from all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Guest injuries
  • Food allergy reactions
  • Alcohol-related incidents
  • Property damage
  • Venue claims
  • Client or guest conduct
  1. MARKETING, WEBSITE & CONTENT DISCLAIMER
  • Website images and menus are illustrative only
  • Pricing and availability are not guaranteed
  • Advertising content does not constitute a binding offer
  • Testimonials reflect individual experiences
  1. SMS, EMAIL & AI COMMUNICATIONS

By submitting contact information, Client consents to:

  • Email communications
  • SMS/text messages (message & data rates may apply)
  • AI-assisted communications (chatbots, voice assistants, virtual assistants)

AI responses are informational only and do not replace written agreements.

Opt-out is available at any time.

  1. PRIVACY

Use of this website and services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

  1. GOVERNING LAW & VENUE

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, with exclusive venue in Los Angeles County, California.

  1. MODIFICATIONS

Jozef Catering Services reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
